I'm starting to knit. For work, you need 5 knitting needles for knitting in a circle. I have knitting needles No. 3 and yarn. Yarn, I chose a special nursery. Composition of 50% wool, but it does not prick at all. As always, at first I knit loops on 2 knitting needles, I do this so that the loops are not tight and the first row is knitted easily. For my yarn, the number of loops is 40.
Then I distribute 10 loops on 4 knitting needles, I knit with the 5th knitting needle. The top in socks is always knitted with an elastic band to stretch well and return to its original position. I knit a 2/2 elastic band in a simple pattern. I got 23 rows.
Then I knit in a circle with the usual stocking stitch, the working thread behind the knitting needle.
Having knitted 16 rows, I proceed to knitting the calcaneal part. In children's socks, the heel did not strengthen. For knitting the heel, you can take smaller knitting needles, so that the density of knitting was greater. And so for knitting the heel I take half the knitted loops - this is 20 pieces and move them to one knitting needle and knit them with only one knitting needle. The remaining 20 loops are not knitted on another spoke, I will return to them later. I form the top of the heel for this, it is necessary to knit 8 rows with the front surface, alternating the wrong and front rows of each row.
The next step is the narrowing of the heel. To do this, it is necessary to distribute 20 loops on 3 knitting needles in this way: 5 loops on one, 10 loops on the next and the remaining 5 loops on the last needle.
I continue to knit with the front stitch and remove one loop, I knit 2 loops together in each row until there are only 10 loops left.
Going back to knitting in a circle. I collect the missing side loops and start knitting again in a circle. In total, with the loops typed, I got 54 pieces
I continue to knit in a circle. Gradually I decrease two loops in each side row at once, so that again there are 40 loops.
I continue knitting until I reach the finger zone.
Gradually, I begin to reduce the loops in each row through one in this way: 2 loops together, one loop as usual, then again two loops together and so on until the sock closes. Socks are almost ready. But that's not all. I wanted to decorate them and embroider a cat on them. To do this, you need thread for embroidery or any that is at home. I take different colors: black, red, green, pink. I crochet the top with fluffy children's yarn 3-4 rows. From colored threads I embroider ears, eyes, antennae, mouth. And that’s it, socks are ready.
They turned out high, as planned, so that they were higher than the shoes. My daughter really liked these socks.
