Using a sandblasting machine, you can quickly and most importantly - effectively clean metal parts from old paint, dirt and rust. You can do the sandblasting yourself.
For the manufacture of a sandblasting apparatus, the author uses an old gas cylinder with a volume of 27 liters. Other materials will also be required, which we will cover throughout the article.
First of all, it will be necessary to cut off the “neck” of the cylinder in its upper part and unscrew the valve. After that, it must be washed with water and the condensate residue drained.
The main stages of work
In the upper part of the container where the valve was, it will be necessary to cut a round hole (the author does this using a plasma cutter), and then weld a metal sleeve with an internal thread.
On the side of the gas cylinder in the upper part, the author welds a piece of tube with a half-inch thread.
At the next stage, it will be necessary to cut off the support shoe, drill a hole in the lower part and weld another piece of a pipe with a half-inch thread.
Next, two profile pipes must be welded to the cylinder, to which the author welds two handles from a round pipe.
An axis is welded to the bottom of the handle racks, on which the wheels will be worn. You also need to make a support leg (also from a profile pipe).
