So that when using the jack you can safely work with the wheel removed under the car or next to it, you can slightly modify the standard design of the lifting device.
In this case, the master uses a hydraulic bottle-type jack. For its modernization, pieces of metal and trimming of the profile pipe will be required.
First of all, the author cuts three pieces of a profile pipe of different sections: 50x50 mm, 40x40 mm and 30x30 mm. Workpieces should be different in height.
Since the gap between the segments of the profile is decent, it must be minimized. To do this, the author uses pieces of metal strip, which in this case act as spacers.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, the author makes 2 symmetrical parts from pieces of metal. They are interconnected using a plate.
You will need to weld a few more metal blanks on top. After this, the welds must be cleaned with a grinder.
Next, in the "cover" of the part, you need to drill a hole for the bolt. A hole of the same diameter must be drilled in the jack screw.
After that, the author proceeds to welding. Parts along with the jack are located on a steel plate. In the side walls of the profile pipes, it will be necessary to drill holes for the retainer.
