A home-made drill stand for an electric drill makes it possible to expand the functionality of the tool. The result is a mini drilling machine that is suitable for the needs of a home workshop.
In this review, the author shows how you can make a simple drill stand for an electric drill from a profile pipe. And this will take quite a bit of time.
First of all, eight workpieces must be cut from a square profile pipe, and four of them will need to be cut at an angle of 45 degrees.
Further, from the obtained blanks, the master welds a square lattice frame. First you need to make the frame itself, and then the remaining workpieces are welded inside, and the result is a grate. This will be the base of the rack.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, the author drills four holes for the legs in the corners of the base of the rack. As legs, bolts with nuts are used. One nut is welded to the profile, the second fixes the bolt.
After that, the vertical stand itself with the movable element is made directly. The material is the same - a profile pipe. Further, the author makes a clamp from a piece of steel round pipe for fixing an electric drill.
Then it remains only to weld the rack to the base at 90 degrees. A homemade clamp for a drill is welded to the movable T-shaped structural member.
Additionally, you will need to make a lever so that you can lower and raise the drill. For details on how to make a simple drill stand for an electric drill, we recommend that you look in the video on the site.
