You can install a gas or electric hob (make an insert in the kitchen worktop) with your own hands. This is nothing complicated. The main thing is to do everything according to the instructions that are attached to the panel.
First of all, you need to make markings on the countertop. And for this, the master uses the template that comes with the hob.
After that, you will need to drill holes in the corners of the contour, and cut a piece of the countertop using an electric jigsaw.
The main stages of work
It is necessary to apply silicone sealant to the side surfaces of the "opening" cut out in the countertop. Then the hob itself is installed.
First you need to stick the sealing tape on the panel, which is also included. The sealing tape is glued along the contour of the hob.
At the last stage of installation, it remains only to firmly fix the panel by screwing it from the bottom to the countertop using special fasteners. In total, two fastenings on the sides are used.
Next, the hob is connected to a cylinder with liquefied gas or to a centralized gas supply network.
