The use of natural and environmentally friendly materials in recent years is gaining wide popularity. Moreover, of the available species of wood, larch is perhaps the most optimal option for decorating the interior of the bathroom and kitchen.

This wood is highly resistant to moisture, not susceptible to decay and reproduction of fungi and microorganisms in it. In this article we will tell you how to make a brutal countertop under the sink in the loft style in the bathroom with your own hands.

To obtain the desired width of the countertop (by default it is 55 cm), the master glues a wooden board from the boards. The next step is to mark the place for the sink, after which you can begin to process the countertop itself.

The main stages of work

One edge of the countertop needs to be sawed off with a jigsaw and rounded, giving the product a brutal look. Then the master brushes the surface of the countertop so that it has an aged look. To do this, he uses a brush with P46 grain.

The next step is to make holes for the sink and faucet. The prepared countertop should be coated in one coat with red copper mineral oil.

Next, two layers of clear floor polish are applied. This will give a little shine and protect against wear. The effect is similar to varnishing. Thanks to this, the texture of the wood itself was very well revealed.

This wooden tabletop is designed for installation on the wall in the bathroom with metal fasteners welded from a profile pipe.

Easy to manufacture, but very stylish countertop is perfect for decorating the bathroom of a house, cottage, apartment, bar or restaurant in a modern loft style. A minimum of materials and tools make such a decor affordable for everyone.
