With the help of this home-made device, it is very convenient to manually bend metal bars of round or square section. The design itself is quite compact and durable. The fixture is mounted in a vice. To make it more convenient to clamp the bar bend, you can weld a piece of a corner or plate vertically from the bottom of the base.
For the manufacture of this tool you will need a thick metal, which at home is not always available. But suitable scraps can be found at the scrap collection point. From the tool you will need a welding machine and an angle grinder.
The main stages of work
First of all, it is necessary to cut preforms of the required sizes: three plates of different sizes and thickness should be obtained. Then we weld together two steel plates. You will need to weld another rectangular plate to the resulting part.
In the upper and lower plates, we drill two through holes and cut the threads into them. After that, we put steel rolls made of round timber on the bolts and screw them into the previously drilled holes. The third roll is mounted on a handle made of a piece of plate.
To make the handle, we first cut out a narrow rectangular plate, drill two holes in it, and cut some metal on one side, so that it is more convenient to hold the handle in your hand. We clean the surface with a grinder with a petal circle.
On the upper base plate, you need to trim the corner a little. Then you need to paint all the details, and then proceed to the assembly of the bar bending machine.
