From available improvised materials, you can make a small stationary mini-crane, which is useful in the household. With it, you can raise the car’s engine and lower the bags of potatoes into the basement. In general, the thing is very useful and necessary.
The maximum load capacity is 400 kg (with a full reach of the boom - 200 kg). Such a home-made design is useful in a private house, in the country and in the garage.
To make a stationary mini-crane with your own hands, you will need: sheet metal with a thickness of 8-10 mm, a profile pipe 50x50 mm 3 mm thick, a profile 60x60 mm 4 mm thick, and also a steel round pipe with a diameter of 89 mm and 102 mm (4 mm thick) .
The main stages of work
The first step is to cut all the blanks in size. The arrow is made of a profile pipe 60x60 mm. It is necessary to drill 2 holes in it. To prevent holes in the profile from breaking, they additionally need to install bushings from an inch pipe.
Two parts are cut from a sheet of metal, in which it is also necessary to drill holes with a diameter of 20 mm. It will also be necessary to drill an additional 3-4 holes with a diameter of 22 mm (approximately the same distance from each other) - to fix the boom at a certain angle.
At the end of the boom, a reinforcement from two corners of 63x63 mm is welded (but it is better, of course, to use a corner of 75x75 mm so as not to weld the gap). On the second "knee" of the boom, reinforcement is also made and a roller for the winch is installed. Then you need to drill three holes to fix the outreach.
