To make an unusual decorative lamp, you will need an empty glass wine bottle, as well as a simple homemade device with a glass cutter, with which the bottle can be cut into two parts. For more information on how to make a device for cutting glass bottles, see this review.
The main stages of work
First of all, using a homemade appliance, we cut the bottle from under the wine into two parts - for the manufacture of the lamp you will need the upper part of the bottle with a neck. The second part can be used for some other homemade work as a stand or vase. The edges at the cut point must be treated with sandpaper.
Inside the glass "lampshade" we insert the cartridge for the bulb, and we pass the two-wire wire through the neck. However, this does not look very aesthetically pleasing, therefore, to disguise the cord, you can use a piece of rope.
A little weave the "pigtails" of the rope, and let the wire pass between them. We screw the bulb into the cartridge, leave the bottom of the rope in the neck of the bottle, and cut the other part near the plug and glue it with hot glue. As a result, the entire cord will be hidden in a rope "sheath".
Finishing touch
For a more pronounced visual effect, the trimmed edge of the glass lampshade can be made sugar. Simply apply hot melt over the entire circumference of the bottom of the bottle and sprinkle it with plenty of sugar (or can be lowered into a container with sugar).
