For work you will need the following materials and tools:
- Copper or aluminum wire, length - 40 cm., Thickness - 1.5 mm. In order to get copper or aluminum wire, you can take the wires and remove insulation from them.
- Thin wire for beadwork, thickness - 0.3 mm (sold in needlework stores).
- Green beads.
- Bright beads (will be used to simulate Christmas balls).
- Round pliers.
- Nippers.
- Hammer and anvil (instead of an anvil, you can use, for example, a metal dumbbell).
To get started, take a thick wire with pliers at the very tip and bend to get a loop.
Next, we begin to bend the wire in such a way that it looks like a curvy "snake". In this case, each subsequent round should be several millimeters longer than the previous one.
Now we continue to bend the wire in the same vein. It will be more convenient to bend the wire with round-nose pliers, clamping it in the supposed places of the bend. We try to make the distance between the turns approximately the same.
Such a design should be obtained. At the end of the wire we again make a loop.
This will be the basis for the future "Christmas tree". Next, we lay the foundation on the anvil and beat off the wire with a hammer in the places of bending, in the resulting structure.
This process is needed so that the base of the "Christmas tree" could lie in the same plane and to give elegance to the coils.
After all this, we begin to decorate the basis of the decoration. For this purpose, you need to take a thin wire for beadwork. You can attach, for example, a star or just a beautiful bead to the upper eyelet. We pass a thin wire into the hole and wind the star or bead to the upper loop.
Then we go down below and start wrapping a thick thin wire every 3-4 turns, stringing one green bead and wrapping it on a thick wire base.
We reach the end of the turn and string a larger, brighter bead (to simulate Christmas balls) on a thin wire and in the same way we wind it to the base from one turn to another.
Further following this technology, we continue to decorate the base to the very end of the wire.
Here is approximately what can result from the work done.
Such a "Christmas tree" will become an elegant and original decoration for your New Year tree.
