To work, you need a grinder in a home workshop or garage, but there are no accessories for its manufacture? The author offers a solution to this problem. Mini grinder can be made on the basis of a conventional grinder (emery).
Of course, this “invention” will not replace a full-fledged grinder, but in the absence of a better one, such a device will do. For the manufacture of homemade craftsman uses a profile pipe, a piece of polypropylene pipe, a roller made of wood, a stud and nuts with washers.
First of all, the author makes a roller from a wooden block, which will be connected to the motor shaft of the grinder with a drill chuck.
The main stages of work
From a profile pipe 20 * 20 mm, it is necessary to cut a piece 370 mm long at an angle. Then it will need to be welded to the base - a rectangular metal plate.
In the upper part of the pipe with the help of a grinder, it is necessary to cut a rectangular "window". Then you need to prepare the rest of the details: M10 stud, nuts with washers and a piece of polypropylene pipe into which a stainless steel sleeve is driven.
At the last stage, the master collects the fixture. Then it will need to be installed next to the grinder, screwed to the table, and pull the sanding belt onto the rollers.
Separately, a stand is made from a piece of profile 20 * 20 mm so that the workpieces can be supported on it. The author fastens it to the protective cover of the grinder.
