In this review, the master decided to make a coffee table with height adjustment with his own hands. That is, this home-made table can be used as a coffee table (for example, at home in the living room), as well as a regular table, raising it to the required height.
The table frame is made of profile pipe. The tabletop itself can be bought or made of wood. As a lift, an electric linear linear drive of direct current to 12V is used (can be ordered on Aliexpress).
First of all, the master cuts the size of the workpiece from the profile pipe. Of these, he welds two U-shaped legs. They are connected to each other using two horizontal profiles.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, it is necessary to weld another frame, but this time from a profile pipe of a smaller section. Reinforcement is also done at the top under the countertop. Then one frame needs to be inserted into another.
After that, the countertop is cut to size. Next, 2 sections of the profile are welded to the legs in the lower part, and one "crossbar" between them, which will also serve as an emphasis for the linear drive of the lift itself.
Then it remains only to clean the welding spots on the profile pipes, and paint. Next, the countertop is attached and an electric linear actuator is installed. From above, the countertop itself can be "covered" with a special film or, for example, a laminate.
