In general, blacksmiths are amazing people! From an ordinary piece of metal, they can forge truly exclusive things. Even the usual opener for glass bottles, "born" in the hands of a blacksmith on the anvil, turns out to be special and unique.
Get creative
Decorative forged products are always original, because the blacksmith puts his soul into his work and improvises on the go. This is the only way to create a real small masterpiece. And it is always important to remember - even when you need to whip up to make some simple trinket.
A strip of metal 25 mm wide and 4 mm thick is suitable as a blank for the opener. Using a grinder, we cut out a small trapezoidal wedge at the end. Then we heat the steel strip red-hot, transfer it to the anvil, turn on the fantasy and begin to create.
The main stages of forging
First, we part the edges of the workpiece to the sides, align them in two planes, and then bend the anvils on the conical horn again. As a result of hard work, a metal plate finally takes on the necessary shape.
